SHELSLEY WALSH

The date is Saturday, 11th June. The year is 1949. The place is the world famous Shelsley Walsh Speed Hill Climb, situated some ten miles west of the city of Worcester. The occasion is the first round of the 1949 RAC British Hill Climb Championship.

Thousands of spectators have made their way along the Teme Valley by coach, private car, taxi, motor cycle, pedal cycle - even on foot. Their intention is to forget the restrictions, the shortages and the rationing that so affects their daily life. They have come...........

Bob Dayson has written a splendid piece on the book in his MAC Gossip, which has just arrived today - nicely in time for Shelsley. In it he says, inter alia, that the book is 'a must' for everyone interested in the history of Shelsley Walsh and of Shelsley Specials.

The book is being published by the Midland Automobile Club
and is only available for through them for:
