FREIKAISERWAGEN
Welcome to the website dedicated to "Freikaiserwagen"
- the legendary and record breaking hill climb and sprint special, a
challenging vehicle to drive, which performed with distinction and success
during the late 1930's and into the 1940's. The purpose of this website is to support the book "Freik - The Private Life of the Freikaiserwagen"
Written
by Rob and Hugh Dunsterville it was be launched at the Vintage Sports Car
Club's hill climb at Shelsley Walsh on July 5/6th, 2008. It
is now only available from the Midland Automobile Club by clicking the 'Buy
The Book' link in the bar above. However
thorough research is conducted for a book of this type, it is inevitable that
further information and photos will become available after it has been
published. This website will provide purchasers and readers of the book with
this additional information as it comes to hand, both free and downloadable. This
information will not only be new facts, stories and pictures, but also any
corrections to the text that need highlighting. In this way purchasers and
readers can be kept up to date. It
will also be interactive through the publishing of the 'Freikaiserwagen Blog'
where readers can start threads and other subscribers can add comments or
additional information. The
